Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, J.Pow! started playing drums at the age of 3 at his father's church. It was at the age of 17, when his younger brother surpassed him that he fell in love with the guitar. Not just any guitar though, it was the bass guitar that pulled at his ear drums and his heart.
